Announcing the next generation of the Trimble® Ranger™ outdoor rugged handheld computer. The Ranger 3 rugged computer replaces the Ranger X rugged computer and is substantially more powerful, with more integrated features.The Ranger 3 handheld integrates features and processing power that customers and software developers are looking for to support advanced applications and mobile computing solutions.
The Ranger 3 computer standard features include:
- 58-key tactile QWERTY alphanumeric keypad
- Sunlight-viewable touchscreen display with VGA (640 x 480) resolution for detailed graphics
- AM3715 SitaraTM ARM® CortexTM-A8 superscalar processor operating at 800 MHz and featuring intelligent power management that adjusts processing power to the demands of the software
- Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system featuring a new user interface that supports flicks and gestures
- 8 GB of Flash storage, plus an SDHC memory card slot for more storage
- GPS receiver with SiRFstarIII chipset and SiRFInstantFixII for faster time-to-first-fix
- Compass for capturing bearing data
- Accelerometer for capturing tilt information
- Customer selectable language when the unit is first powered on, and the supported languages are English, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Spanish.
Optional features include:
- Autofocus camera with 5 megapixel resolution, LED flash and geotagging
- 1D barcode laser scanner
- 3G WWAN cellular data modem for wireless network connectivity (certified AT&T Network Compatible)
